On March 8, 2019, 6th dan aikido seinsei Miyuki Kumazawa held a very successful seminar in our Brussels dojo. The seminar was one of the stops on the sensei's 10-day European tour. After training in Manchester and Luxembourg, the sensei arrived in Brussels for 2 days, from where he visited the Netherlands.

35 people took part in the training in the Brussels dojo of the Association. Despite the heat (when does the air conditioning stop working, if not during the Japanese master's visit...) the work on the tatami went on in a good mood.
Kumazawa sensei said afterwards that he really enjoyed training with us, he was especially impressed by the enthusiasm and skill of the beginners.

We would like to thank all aikidokas for their participation and we are looking forward to the sensei coming to us again next March.

"SESSA TEKUMA." (Miyuki sensei's message)

"Sessa Takuma" is a Japanese term, of course untranslatable literally, in free translation it means learning by grinding together. Let's imagine stones that become smoother as they collide and rub against each other. This interaction is beneficial for all of them, since all stones are shaped and shaped by this interaction. This is how we learn from each other when we practice the tatami together.
